This is an opportunity for you to join content expert Julie Sutton, RDH MS and other fellow educators to discuss innovative strategies on teaching public health and building a foundation for civic engagement. Particularly during a time when extramural sites could be reduced or missing, creativity is the key to continued engagement. Attendees of this session will have the opportunity to openly discuss strategies and the different strengths and weaknesses or our varied communities with fellow colleagues and a public health expert to collectively navigate service learning and public health during and after a pandemic.
Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.
More about our content expert: Ms Sutton serves as Associate Professor the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). She is the 2020 recipient of the Chancellors Award for Community Engagement at UMKC, and sits on Provosts Council for Engagement. She is the Division of Dental Hygiene content expert in Public Health and enjoys speaking regularly at the National Conference for Dental Public Health Educators.
Attendees of Educators Platform Mastermind sessions will earn 2 CEU in Educational Methods.
