This is an opportunity for you to join content expert Tulsi Patel, RDH, MHA and other fellow educators to discuss evidence-based strategies on identifying periodontal disease using the latest American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) classification system, and treatment planning cases. A fundamental course for students, attendees of this session will share strategies and resources to better equip students with the ability to identify and treat periodontal disease.

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.

More about our content expert: Ms. Patel serves as Associate Professor at UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston (UTSD). She has served in numerous faculty roles at UTSD but has a true passion for periodontology. She actively completes educational research on periodontology and has presented her findings at regional, national and international conferences. One of her most recent accomplishments includes co-creating the “Periodontitis and Gingivitis Module Utilizing 2017 AAP and EFP Classification System for Periodontal Disease” for Proctor & Gamble Dentalcare.com.

Attendees of Educators Platform Mastermind sessions will earn 2 CEU in Educational Methods.
