This is an opportunity for you to joincontent expert Kimberly Bray PhD, RDH and other fellow educators to discuss effective powerpoint design. Despite the prevalence of PowerPoint in professional and educational presentations, surprisingly little is known about the effectiveness of such presentations. All else being equal, how do PowerPoint presentations compare to the use of overhead projectors, chalk on a Blackboard or alternative electronic presentations? Join me for a discussion of PowerPoint effects on human perception, memory, and comprehension.

More about our content expert: Kimberly Bray is a professor in the Division of Dental Hygiene at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Bray currently teaches in three degree programs including two degrees with distance learning options. Her doctorate is in applied cognitive and brain sciences. Dr. Bray has presented numerous continuing education programs nationally and abroad. She received the 2002 UMKC Dental Hygiene Alumni Achievement Award. Current research interests include motivational interviewing, autonomous regulation, health behavior change, product efficacy and periodontics.Â
