A bit more information

Online learning continues to become more popular both by necessity and desire. As we consider online learning moving forward, faculty must continue to explore and implement research-based best practices for teaching online. This MasterMind will present proven and practical tips for developing effective online courses. Participants will benefit from a discussion about online learning best practices and, more importantly, will walk away with different ideas to implement in online courses.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore best practices for teaching in an online context
  • Discuss topics like course design, technology, student engagement, instructor presence, and rapport from an online pedagogy perspective

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.
