Online learning continues to grow in both necessity and popularity, bringing new opportunities and challenges for educators. Join Lisa Moravec and colleagues for an engaging discussion on how to design meaningful and effective learning experiences in online and hybrid environments. This session will explore how different learning styles, evidence‑based teaching methodologies, and adaptability to student needs shape successful virtual instruction. Participants will examine best practices, share practical approaches, and leave with different ideas they can implement immediately to enhance student engagement and success across varied online and hybrid course formats.

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.

Lisa Moravec is an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry. She brings over 20 years of experience in dental hygiene education and has presented nationally and internationally. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from UNMC, a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University, and a Certificate in Leadership and Organizational Behavior from A.T. Still University.  She is a Fellow of the ADHA, a Past President of both the ADHA and the Nebraska Dental Hygienists' Association, and a past Chair of the ADHA Institute for Oral Health. Lisa teaches didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses at UNMC and as Adjunct Faculty for Idaho State University’s MSDH Graduate Program. Her professional interests include interprofessional education, medical-dental integration, leadership, mentoring, and advancing the field through innovation.
