This is an opportunity for you to join content expert Christine Nathe, RDH MS and other fellow educators to discuss innovative strategies on teaching public health in this first of a two-part Mastermind.
During Part 2, we will dive into strategies for teaching epidemiology, program planning, and program evaluation. This session will emphasize practical teaching approaches, engaging learning activities, and helping students apply public health principles in meaningful and measurable ways.
Objectives:Â
- Describe effective teaching strategies for oral epidemiology and research terms.
- Develop strategies for teaching dental public health program planning.
Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.
More about our content expert: Christine Nathe is Professor Emeritus at the University of New Mexico, Division of Dental Hygiene. She authors the Dental Public Health and Research and Primary Preventive Dentistry textbooks and has developed numerous dental public health programs and consults on public health issues. She has practiced clinically for years and is still conducting dental research.
Attendees of Educators Platform Mastermind sessions will earn 2 CEU in Educational Methods.
