This is an opportunity for you to join content expert Tanya Villalpando Mitchell, RDH, MS and other fellow educators to discuss strategies on teaching Dental Anatomy.  Attendees of this session will have the opportunity to openly discuss strategies used in teaching dental anatomy.  Included in the discussion will be various methods and approaches used in the classroom – including activities using instrumentation.  Discussion will take place on the use of traditional practices and the use of technology in teaching course content. 

Objectives:

• Discuss strategies used in teaching dental anatomy.
• Apply a variety of methods to engage learning in the classroom.

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. More about our content expert: Ms. Mitchell is Professor and Chair in the Division of Dental Hygiene at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry.  She has numerous years teaching dental anatomy to dental hygiene students and has incorporated a variety of innovative ways of instruction which has translated to high acclaim from her students.

Attendees of Educators Platform Mastermind sessions will earn 2 CEU in Educational Methods.
