This is an opportunity for you to join content expert Michele Carr, RDH, MA, EdD and other fellow educators to discuss meeting accreditation standards. This session will familiarize educators with the accreditation process, help them become familiar with the revised standards, and provide information on what to expect before, during, and after a site visit. Additionally, information on how to make your self-study a “no-brainer” will be discussed.

Objectives:

1. Discuss processes that can be implemented and sustained to help comply with the standards.
2. Summarize the revised CODA standards and employ strategies in meeting them.
3. Discuss a program’s expectations throughout the phases of a site visit.
4. Discuss various site visit frequent citations of the allied dental standards.

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.

More about our content expert: Dr. Carr is an Associate Professor Emeritus and former chair of the Division of Dental Hygiene at The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. She has a wealth of knowledge and expertise on CODA Accreditation having served numerous years as a CODA Site Visitor as well as a member of the CODA Dental Hygiene Review Committee. Dr. Carr also serves as an Accreditation Preparation Consultant on the Educators Platform Team.

Attendees of Educators Platform Mastermind sessions will earn 2 CEU in Educational Methods.
