This is an opportunity for you to join content expert Tulsi Patel, RDH, MHA and other fellow educators to discuss evidence-based strategies on identifying periodontal disease using the latest American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) classification system, and treatment planning cases. A fundamental course for students, attendees of this session will share strategies and resources to better equip students with the ability to identify and treat periodontal disease.

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.

More about our content expert: Ms. Patel serves as the Director of Health Promotion and Associate Professor at UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston (UTSD). She has served as a course director for numerous courses at UTSD but has a true passion for periodontology. She actively presents calibration workshops on periodontal classification at regional, national and international conferences. One of her most recent accomplishments includes co-creating a “Chairside Guide on 2017 AAP Classifications” for Dimensions of Dental Hygiene.

Attendees of Educators Platform Mastermind sessions will earn 2 CEU in Educational Methods.
