Objectives:

• Demonstrate the educational value of interactive assessment tools by showcasing how they enhance student engagement, motivation, and real-time feedback.
• Introduce participants to the core features and functionalities of Flip, Mentimeter, Jeopardy Labs, and Quizlet Live through live demonstrations and guided exploration.
• Encourage reflective discussion on how these tools can be integrated into participants’ own instructional practices to support formative and summative assessment goals

Educators Platform Masterminds are dynamic two-hour virtual sessions building on each other’s challenges, ideas and successes in the presence of a content expert. Mastermind sessions are thoughtfully facilitated to create an environment for like-minded colleagues to share and learn from one another with the goal of collective professional growth and development. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs of participants. Those attending will have the opportunity to create strong connections with other participants to last a whole career.

More about our content expert: Dr. Nisa Hashmani is an assistant professor in the Dental Hygiene Program of the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston (UTSD). She teaches Educational Seminar, Educational Practicum, and Capstone for the MSDH program where she focuses on integrating interactive tools into instructional design. She has a passion for technology-enhanced learning and has presented at local, State, national, and international conferences. She loves cooking, painting, event planning, and spending time with her husband, Rafiq and their two children Ahad and Alina.
